Scholarship Prep Riverside Makes an Immediate Impact for Local Families

The Riverside community has embraced Scholarship Prep’s first local campus with open arms. Principal Llesenia Villalobos calls the response rewarding and humbling. “A lot of families have said we couldn’t have opened at a better time,” she said. 

What began as plans for 90 students quickly grew to nearly 200 within the first few weeks of school. Despite the rapid growth, Villalobos says her team rose to the occasion.

“Our teachers are resilient. They show up every day ready to greet students, connect with families, and live out the Scholarship Prep mission,” she said.

Staff have been instrumental in identifying students and families who may qualify for additional support, ensuring that every child’s needs are met.

Reflecting on these first few months, Villalobos is most proud of how seamlessly the team has come together. “It doesn’t feel like year one,” she said.

“Everyone is here for the right reasons: to support our students. We’re a well-oiled machine, and I’m so proud of what we’ve built for the Riverside community.”
