From Vision Care to a College-Bound Culture: How Scholarship Prep Removes Barriers to Success

At Scholarship Prep, we believe that setting our students up for success means addressing their needs both inside and outside the classroom. That’s why we recently teamed up with Vision to Learn and Diff Eyewear to bring free vision care directly to our South Bay campus.

On-Site Vision Screenings and Follow-Up Exams Provide Immediate Support

This year, Vision to Learn’s expert team of optometrists conducted on-site vision screenings for our TK-8th grade Scholars, identifying students needing follow-up care. Vision to Learn’s mobile optometry unit visited campus and provided free exams for those needing prescription glasses. Students later received their prescription glasses in a special ceremony hosted by Diff.

Blue Light-Blocking Eyewear for All Students

As a special bonus, every student was gifted a pair of Diff’s blue light-blocking glasses. Blue light-blocking glasses help reduce eye strain, allowing students to stay comfortable and focused while engaged in their tech-infused learning.

VIP Treatment with Diff Eyewear’s Media Team

In addition to leveling up their eyewear game, Diff’s media team visited our campus to capture our Scholars' stories as part of an upcoming media campaign. It was an exciting moment for our community and a testament to how our partnerships with organizations like Diff Eyewear and Vision to Learn are making a difference.

Scholarship Prep is proud to expand our TK-8th grade program to Upland and Riverside for the 2025-2026 school year. Like our South Bay location, our Upland and Riverside campuses will offer wraparound support—including access to vision care—to ensure all students have what they need to succeed.
