Every Moment Matters: Staff Development Kickoff for 2025–2026

Before our hallways were filled with students excited to return to school, Scholarship Prep staff gathered together for a powerful start to the new academic year. Hosted at our Oceanside campus, located on the historic grounds of Mission San Luis Rey, this year’s organization-wide Staff Development marked a milestone: our first time coming together as a five-campus network with the addition of our Upland and Riverside schools.

Executive Director Jason Watts and Deputy Director Andrew Crowe kicked off the morning by introducing our 2025–2026 theme, “Every Moment Matters.” The message was clear: every day, every interaction, and every opportunity with a student or family is a moment to make a difference.

Staff were then celebrated for their achievements, including five years of service and exceptional student outcomes. Awards ranged from performance-based pay, up to $5,000 for academic success on i-Ready and CAASPP assessments, to the coveted Champion Chains, honoring the top-performing teachers in both academics and SEL curriculum.

True to Scholarship Prep’s commitment to recognition, professional growth, and wellness, the day also featured engaging breakout sessions. From budgeting and retirement planning to yoga, improv, painting, and dance, staff left feeling refreshed, inspired, and connected.
